We seem to have great interest in pursuing the topic posed by the Student Collaborative sub-committee. The goal is to have our students, faculty, and parent communities consider life "Beyond the Buckhead Bubble" and particularly to become more aware/culturally literate of important global issues such as global poverty, education, warming, health, etc. We talked of Freidman's book The World is Flat (speaker?). The concept piece, originally positioned as our spring programming, is attached for review and further consideration.

We also discussed Cheryl's idea (and great interest!) of engaging Mel Levine to work intentionally with our community. Where might this fit? Can we create a broad-enough (but clearcut) theme which incorporates Levine and appeals to a sizeable audience?
